A Voice for the Blackfeet Community
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), in collaboration with the Safe on All Roads (SOAR) program and the Northern Tribes DUI Task Force, aimed to raise awareness about impaired driving within the Blackfeet Nation. I had the honor of working alongside tribal leaders and community members to create a short-format documentary that could inform, move, and empower.
Key Features
- Silver Telly Award-winning documentary film
- Long-format and promotional video cuts for use across platforms
- Outdoor billboards and posters placed throughout the community
- Collaboration with Blackfeet leadership and local advocacy organizations
- Visual storytelling rooted in trust, authenticity, and action
The Goal
Tell real, emotional stories that would shift behavior and spark change in response to the crisis of impaired driving in the Blackfeet community.
The Solution
We produced a compelling short film titled "Impaired Driving: A Blackfeet Crisis," which spotlighted personal interviews with tribal members affected by impaired driving. With careful planning, culturally sensitive storytelling, and deep community involvement, we delivered a message grounded in real-life impact. The campaign was supported by print, outdoor, and video promotional materials to expand its reach across the region.
